Reduced Fertilizer
Lost Fertilizer-Overhead irrigation systems, such as sprinklers leach fertilizer from potting media because of the downward application of water. Loss of fertilizer through leaching generally exceeds 50%.
Minimal leaching-The KISSS Ebb and Flow MAT achieves minimal leaching during irrigation because water is applied from the bottom up and absorption is driven by each plants individual needs.
Gentle Drainage-When an irrigation cycle has ended, excess water begins to drain from pots. This drainage is very gentle and involves very small amounts of water. This gentle draining drastically reduces leaching.
