Environmentally Friendly
Ebb and Flow MAT capillary irrigation offers more environmental benefits than any other irrigation system:
- Use Less Water-Ebb and Flow Mat uses up to 75% less water than a conventional sprinkler system. This greatly reduces demands on ever depleting water sources
- Less waste water-The Ebb and Flow Mat uses less water than any other irrigation system, including drip irrigation systems. The water that is not used by plants drains of the mats at a single source and can be easily collected and reused meaning there is literally no wasted water.
- Lower chemical levels-The Ebb and Flow Mat allows growers to use less fertilizers (at least 25%). Water is applied directly to the root zone, chemicals such as pesticides are never washed off so applications become much less frequent.
