How Ebb And Flow Mat Waters
When an Irrigation Cycle as begun the central layer of the mat will begin to rapidly disperse water throughout the entire mat. Water will then absorb up into the potting media through the drainage holes. Water will absorb into the containers up to the top 1/2" of the potting media.
When an irrigation cycle has ended excess water (about 10%) will drain from the containers back into the mat. The drainage cycle leaves the plants at a perfect level of air filled porosity which produces vigorous root growth.
