End Drainage Option
Tailing off the end of the mat is essential to proper drainage of potting media of the Ebb and Flow Mat. There are two different ways the Ebb and Flow Mat container irrigation system can be set up to facilitate drainage. End drainage (right) and Side drainage.
End drainage is the most common form of drainage of the Ebb and Flow capillary mat irrigation system. This is usually utilized on benches and outdoor ground installations At least 6 inches of the mat are hung over the end of the bench and water gently drains off.
