Drainage Option
Tailing off the end of the mat is essential to proper drainage of potting media and the Ebb and Flow Mat. There are two different ways the Ebb and Flow Mat container irrigation system can be set up to facilitate drainage.
The first option for drainage is is end drainage (top). This is usually utilized on benches and outdoor ground installations At least 6 inches of the mat are hung over the end of the bench and water gently drains off.
The second option for drainage is side drainage (bottom). This drainage option is utilized with long flat benches. Water gently drains of the side of the mat into the pre sewn sleeve and can be collected at a single point.
